- Xbox is giving Xbox Achievements a huge overhaul
- The update adds updated icons and animations for unlocked achievements
- Players will also be able to hide games and 100% completed games will be highlighted on their profile
Microsoft has announced a huge visual overhaul of Xbox Achievements that will make it easier for gamers to focus on their games and achievements.
Available today for select Xbox Insiders to begin testing, the new overhaul features will roll out to more Insiders over time and be available to the wider player base at a later date.
Among the improvements is an updated achievement notification look with updated icons and animations when players unlock classic or rare achievements.

“Notifications will also match your custom color, making each unlock feel more personal. Happy achievement hunting!” the company said in the Xbox Wire post.
Starting later this month, players will also be able to hide any game they want from their achievement history on their profile, “giving you more control over how your achievements are presented.”
“Whether you want a cleaner look or simply want to highlight what matters most to you, this puts your profile in your hands,” said Xbox.
This option will only affect how a player’s profile is displayed, so hidden games will still count towards their overall player score and activity will still be reported across the platform.
Finally, when players have earned each achievement for a single game, they will now see it highlighted on their list, giving players a “quick, easy-to-follow way to celebrate full completion.”
Filter settings will also be added, making them easier to find in the list of games.
“This is a small but meaningful step in a broader set of improvements we’re making to Achievements,” Xbox said. “We continue to explore new ways to recognize completion and milestone moments over time, and this update is one of our first steps toward celebrating those moments.”
