A Nintendo Switch 2 version of Starfield is apparently real as Bethesda’s space-faring role-playing game (RPG) gets a new rating.
As reported by Universo Nintendo, Starfield has been officially rated for Switch 2 by the Taiwan Entertainment Software Rating Information Board.
The screenshot shows that it was filed in its database on April 15, 2026 with an ESRB rating of “R” meaning “Restricted” as it contains “violence, drugs and inappropriate language.”

Bethesda and Nintendo have yet to officially announce a Switch 2 port, but this review more or less confirms that it is at least on the way. Microsoft is holding an Xbox Games Showcase event on June 7, which seems like the perfect time to announce it.
Rumors of a potential Starfield The Switch 2 port has been circulating for a while, with the first rumblings emerging late last year. The same rumors also claimed that a PlayStation 5 port was on the way, which proved true when it was finally released earlier this month.
The PS5 version offered new features for the DualSense Wireless Controller and two exclusive graphics modes for the PS5 Pro: Pro Performance Mode and Pro Visual Mode.
starfield, which was originally launched as an Xbox and PC exclusive in September 2023, has also just received two huge expansions, Terran Armada and free lanes.
Terran Armada added brand new premium content while free Free lanes patch introduced a new cruise mode that finally lets players travel between planets in systems while spending time inside their ship.
