ISLAMABAD:
Federal Constitutional Court (FCC) Chief Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan has emphasized the urgent need for early disposal of cases, and directed all agencies to adopt effective case management practices to significantly reduce the burden of pending cases.
The direction came during a court hearing on Monday presided over by CJ Khan. All FCC judges as well as Registrar Hafeezullah Khan attended the meeting.
The meeting focused on key administrative and judicial issues aimed at strengthening institutional performance, improving operational efficiency and reinforcing the Court’s commitment to the timely delivery of justice.
According to an official statement, the meeting resulted in several decisions of strategic importance.
Emphasizing the constitutional requirement of timely justice, the CJ highlighted the necessity of speedy case management and directed the implementation of effective case management techniques.
The goal, he noted, is to ensure a visible reduction in the backlog of cases and increase public confidence in the justice system.
The court reiterated its resolve to ensure speedy decisions to maintain public confidence in the legal framework and maintain constitutional order and discipline. The meeting also reviewed ongoing capacity-building initiatives in the institution.
Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan appreciated the in-house training programs conducted for ministerial staff in grades 8 to 16 and noted that such efforts are essential to improve administrative competence and professional standards.
These training modules include IT skills, workplace discipline and office ethics – components considered essential to building a modern, efficient and accountable institutional structure.
Justice Khan emphasized that continuous professional development of staff is indispensable to ensure administrative excellence and institutional integrity.
He reaffirmed the Court’s commitment to transparency, efficiency and adherence to constitutional principles and emphasized the importance of maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and accountability at all levels.
The FCC reiterated that it remains steadfast in its mission to uphold the rule of law and ensure the efficient, transparent and timely delivery of justice.
