- Another new poster Spider-Man: Brand New Day has been revealed
- It shows Peter Parker wearing his superhero costume under a winter jacket
- Marvel fans can’t stop poking fun at the poster’s accompanying tagline
Sony and Marvel have released another new poster for Spider-Man: Brand New Day — and it hasn’t taken long for fans to poke fun at the eyebrow-raising caption that accompanies it.
Released on the studios’ social media channels, the one-sheet shows Tom Holland’s Peter Parker wearing his iconic red and blue superhero outfit under a winter jacket. The artwork also confirms that if a reminder was even needed that Spider-Man 4 will hit theaters worldwide on July 31.

It is not the only promotional material that Sony and Marvel reveals today (May 14).
A new behind-the-scenes featurette has actually also been uploaded to the former’s YouTube channel. In it, Holland and director Destin Daniel Cretton discuss shooting one of the Marvel Phase 6 film’s action sequences virtually in Glasgow, Scotland in August 2025.

Even better, the pair confirm that said set pieces will be part of the next Spider-Man movie’s opening number. So we’ll see the eponymous hero — with a little help (read: not much help at all) from Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle/The Punisher — tackle the armored vehicle in an explosive chase sequence as soon as Spider-Man 4 begins.
With Brand new days global launch just over two months away, plus the release of these new marketing materials, I wouldn’t be surprised if another trailer comes online before long. Why Are Marvel Fans Making Fun of Spider-Man 4’s Latest Poster?
Now you have seen the accompanying caption Brand new day‘s poster. However, if you somehow skipped the first part of this article, here it is in its entirety: “The world has forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them.”
Seems pretty innocent, right? So why on earth are fans falling over themselves to mock said caption? Due to the recent countless Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) events that have taken place in Spidey’s hometown of New York, in which he has somehow been uninvolved.
In fact, whether it is both seasons of Daredevil: Born Againevents depicted in the latest Disney+ TV Special The Punisher: One Last Killor the duo’s cousin on the big screen Thunderboltsfans can’t stop commenting on the irony of the aforementioned caption.
“Getting some mixed messages between that tagline and his lack of presence during some pretty critical moments in New York over the last couple of seasons of Daredevil and Punisher: One Last Kill,” one ResetEra user joked, before another person added, “Don’t forget his lack of presence in Thunderbolts.”
“Are you sure about that, Peter?” asked another ResetEra forum. “Little Sicily [the New York district depicted in One Last Kill] could use some help.”
Despite the tagline, others have questioned the overall quality of the poster and whether it was created with the help of artificial intelligence (AI). You only have to look at threads on r/marvelstudios, r/spiderman, and r/marvelstudiospoilers for a sampling of other negative comments that have been greeted since the reveal. So let’s hope a new trailer is released soon to get fans talking about the film in a positive light again.
