NEW Strands today (game #804) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #804, are…
- MOUSSE
- CROISSANT
- ECLAIR
- MACARON
- MERINGUE
- SPANGRAM: FRENCH BAKERY
- My assessment: Easy
- My score: Perfect
Seeing the word “French” along the top row was impossible to ignore making FRENCHBAKERY, one of the easiest-to-spot spanrams I can remember.
From here it was simply a case of how much pastry you know – as someone who is a fan of TV cooking shows and eating as many cakes and pastries as possible, I found it all quite easy. Having said that, I’m sure everyone saw MOUSSE immediately too.
In fact, today’s biggest challenge was spelling CROISSANT. Actually, scratch that, the biggest challenge of the day is not leaving my desk to go out and buy a CROISSANT.
Yesterday’s NYT Strand’s Answer (Friday, May 15, Game #803)
- Otter
- BADGER
- FERRES
- MARCH
- POLE CAT
- WOLVERINE
- SPANGRAM: MUSTELIDER
