Patrick Mahomes’ mother, Randi Mahomes, announced on Instagram on Friday that Quarterback’s grandfather is at Hospice.

“My dad is at a hospice and I’m lost to words,” the mother wrote in the post.

Randi added to his post the Bible Verse Verse Colossians 3:20, which in the Bible says “Children, obeys your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.”

Randi announced earlier that her father was in the hospital in mid -September.

“Prayer warriors please ask my father. He is in the hospital and is not good his name is Randy,” she wrote on x on September 14th. A few days later, she made an instagram post that read, “That’s how I fight for my strokes. If you see this, take a moment and pray for my dad now.”

Now comes the news that Mahomes’ grandfather is at a hospice, a few days before Mahomes is ready to lead Kansas City Chiefs against Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship Game as the quarterback appears to be the first in the story to win three just super Bowls.

The news also comes just under two weeks after Mahomes and his wife Brittany welcomed his third child to the world when daughter Golden Raye was born on January 12.

For Mahomes, a historic season has also been one of constant family chaos. His grandfather, who is placed at the hospice shortly after the birth of his third child, is only the latest unfortunate development for his family in the last year.

In March, his brother Jackson Mahomes was sentenced to six months’ probation for allegedly assault by a woman. Jackson pleaded guilty to a single offense with battery. The judgment came only months after the prosecutors rejected three crimes for sharpened sexual battery related to accusations that he had grabbed a woman at her neck and kissed her against her will.

Then, in August, Brittany was thrown into the center of a national political controversy and faced a barrier of online attacks after she simply liked a post about President Donald Trump’s Instagram. Screenshots of her that became viral and she was facing so much setback that she had to tackle the controversy several times in other Instagram posts.

The controversy around Brittany was elevated because of her broadly published friendship with Taylor Swift, as Swift is a Democrat who approved Kamala Harris in the recent election. Swift was seen sitting separately from Brittany on Chiefs games this year after they were often seen sitting together last season, which only burned the controversy and conversation about their political differences.

Trump himself threw the Mahomes family further into the national political conversation ahead of the election when he recognized Brittany’s support and thanked her on social media and in a Fox & Friends interview on September 11, when Mahomes was forced to ask questions about The topic of journalists later that day.

Randi also brought herself into the controversy as she announced her support to Trump in Chiefs’ match against Buccaneers on November 4, just one day before the election. Randi invited some criticism to her and the rest of the family of liberals on social media for her Trump support, but never recognized the setback as Brittany did.

Meanwhile, Mahomes’ father, Patrick Mahomes Sr., was devoted to a prison sentence and five years of probation at the end of September for driving under the influence of alcohol in February. He was sentenced to 10 days in prison, followed by a five -year probationary time, and will be subject to “intense supervision” in the first year of his probation, according to KCTV in Kansas City.

He also got his driver’s license suspended for a year and is obliged to continue AA courses and wants a Breathalyzer unit installed in his car.

For Chiefs -quarterback, these distractions found everywhere in what was statistically the worst season of his NFL career starting.

Mahomes set up a career-low in passing yards and touchdowns, while missing Pro Bowl for the first time since the acquisition of the start job in 2018.

However, this did not prevent Mahomes from doing just enough to lead chiefs to the best record they have ever had in their history, with a staggering 15-2 regular season record. Despite having fought in the passing game, Mahomes did just enough every week to make sure his team won everything except a game he started, all while being confronted with several family practions.

One loss Mahomes suffered for Chiefs this year came against the team he will play on Sunday when the bills beat Chiefs 30-21 on November 17. Chiefs’ second loss came in the last game of the regular season as Mahomes sat out to avoid injury without anything to win in the position.

Now, with his grandfather at Hospice, the Mahomes is taking the field for a new match against the bills on Sunday with a chance to lead his team to a third equal Super Bowl as he seems to mitigate a turbulent but elastic year.
