The switch to a three-division format has given Vitality Blast a whole new feel for 2026, with the old north-south system giving way to tighter north, central and south groups. Two groups of nine have become three out of six, and that is not the only change to the format.

The teams are set to play two fewer group matches than previously, reduced from 14 to 12, including one home and one away match against teams from a separate group. A more compact group stage shortens the distance to the knockouts, which should make it easier for teams to maintain their momentum and for overseas stars to see out the season before being sent off on other assignments.
