Manziel started with running knee attempts and then went on the attack, hitting Menery with several kicks to the back and stomach. Manziel tried to go for the knockout blow with a huge right hand but missed and slipped.

Menery tried to capitalize but missed by a stroke. Manziel took him down and sat on Menery’s upper chest, hammering him. The referee saw enough and stopped the match while the announcers laughed the match through. The fight was stopped with 44 seconds left in the first round.
