- It is rumored again that Galaxy Z Flip 7 uses Exynos 2500
- Samsung’s own silicon was missing from the Galaxy S25
- Using the CPU can mean cheaper prices for the foldable
With the Samsung Galaxy S25 launch of the road, the next Samsung telephone launch we can focus on is to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7-and a key specification for the latter handset has just been leaked out.
According to long-time tipster @jukanlosreve, Samsung will go with his very own Exynos 2500 processor for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, a processor that is not used in any of the Galaxy S25 hand sets revealed a few days ago.
This is something we have heard before, which adds the rumor extra credibility. The tipster also sets out the full specifications of the chipset, including a 10-kernet cluster, and it looks like an impressive piece of silicon on paper.
As you can see from our review of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, the 2024 version of the phone arrived with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip set from Qualcomm-and all the Galaxy S25 models run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processors.

Samsung has long used a mix of its own exynos processors and those designed and made by third-party manufacturers in its smartphones, and there are always speculation ahead of each new Samsung hand set about which CPUs are being chosen.
In general, the exynos processors are believed to be a little less powerful than the alternatives – though not so much to make a huge difference to the user experience. They are also cheaper for Samsung to make, which can mean cheaper phones.
Rumor has it that Samsung has struggled to mass produce Exynos 2500 in sufficient quantities, which may explain why it did not appear in the Galaxy S25 (some Samsung Galaxy S24 models used the Exynos 2400 chipset).
There have not been too many leaks and rumors around the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 yet, but larger screens may be on the way and it seems likely that we will also get a cheaper Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 see.
