- Lego has just revealed a new Sandcrawler set themed from The Mandalorian Season 1
- The 1,683-piece set features a Sandcrawler with interactive elements
- It includes Grogu, Mando, Jawas and Kuiil minifigures
Along with the Millennium Falcon, the TIE Fighter or the AT-AT walker, the Sandcrawler is one of the most iconic vehicles from the wide universe of Star Wars. And while we’ve seen many Lego versions over the years, it’s been a while since the brick-building giant revisited the vehicle.
However with Mandalorian and Grogu now on the big screen and a number of new products themed to the film already available, Lego and Star Wars have teamed up for another set. And TechRadar can now exclusively reveal the Lego Star Wars Offworld Sandcrawler and Mudhorn set.
Even better, this Sandcrawler is themed and detailed to match the same offworld vehicle seen in Season 1 of The Mandaloriangiving longtime fans of the Disney+ series a nostalgic throwback to some of Grogu and Mando’s earliest adventures.
The set can be pre-ordered now direct from Lego for $199.99 / £179.99 / AU$329.99, and will ship over the coming weeks. For that price, you get 1,683 pieces to build the Sandcrawler, several accessories, an adjustable mud horn with its egg and a handful of minifigures.
Included in the Lego Star Wars Offworld Sandcrawler and Mudhorn set are Grogu with a hovercraft, The Mandalorian, Kuiil, an Offworld Jawa Elder and two Offworld Jawa minifigures.
The sand crawler itself is well detailed and has a few interactive elements, including a few Technic-style components. By turning the rear dials you can open or close the front hatch and you will build steps so you can move the vehicle.
Two stud shooters are built in and you can access the cockpit to place a minifigure inside. You’ll also build shipping crates filled with droid parts and even blue cookies for Grogu to snack on. Doors and windows along the Sandcrawler’s exteriors let you pose Jawas, Mando or even Grogu in the middle of the scene.
As the set’s name suggests, you’ll also build a mud horn from the 1,683 pieces so fans can recreate one of those memorable early moments from Season 1 of The Mandalorian.
When all these elements come together, fans of the Disney+ series can recreate iconic scenes with Mando, Grogu, Kuiil and Jawas. It’s certainly a nice addition, and for longtime Star Wars fans it’s great to see Lego revisit one of the franchise’s most recognizable vehicles with a throwback to the first season of The Mandalorianwhich originally premiered in 2019.
