Oil prices rise as Iran and US stock market strikes

Oil prices rose on Wednesday as hostilities in the Middle East flared as Iranian drones struck Kuwait’s main international airport and the US and Iran exchanged strikes.

Shares wobbled and rose in much of Asia, but fell in Europe.

Energy markets have been on a tightrope with the war in Iran dragging on for a third month. Both the US and Iran have continued to trade strikes while saying a ceasefire is holding. The countries say that negotiations on a framework for resolving the conflict are continuing.
