Making a spinoff of a spinoff feels like a very Sheldon Cooper thing to do, and after Young Sheldon season 7, it was definitely a decision that made sense. For the past two seasons, we’ve followed the marriage of Sheldon’s older brother Georgie (Montana Jordan) to random cougar Mandy (Emily Osment).
There may be a 12-year age difference between them, but these days their emotions and maturity levels feel well matched. Here’s what we know about the return of the multi-cam sitcom, including when we can expect it Georgie & Mandy’s first marriage season 3 episodes coming to Paramount+.

Based on CBS’ fall 2026 lineup (which you can see below), Season 3 will continue in the show’s usual Thursday slot at 8 p.m. ET. What we don’t yet know is exactly when the new season will start, but based on previous premieres, we can estimate that episodes will debut in October 2026. Episodes will then be available to stream the day after they air on Paramount+.
Again, we can expect a longer mid-season break before the season begins again in early 2027.

The real point of intrigue will be to see if Sheldon (Iain Armitage) eventually comes back to Medford after leaving Texas for CalTech at the end of Young Sheldon season 7. So far, he has not returned for the spinoff.

Based on Season 2 episodes, we can expect the rivalry between Georgie and Fred Fagenbacher to continue as Mandy continues to pursue her own career.
CeeCee is now much older, so it would be smart to use her more in upcoming episodes. But unlike The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon, Georgie & Mandy’s first marriage isn’t as bound by show lore, meaning creators can take the story almost anywhere.
Of course, based on what we learn about adult Georgie in TBBTGeorgie and Mandy break up at some point. However, I imagine CBS will be keen to keep this spinoff running as long as possible, so don’t expect a divorce announcement anytime soon.
