Prime Minister Shehbaz approves the budget proposal 2026-2027

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday approved the draft federal budget 2026-2027. He chaired a cabinet meeting in Islamabad to review the budget proposals.

Prime Minister Shehbaz expressed gratitude to the coalition parties for their full support in the 2026-2027 budget.

The Prime Minister also thanked the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for the assistance.

During the cabinet meeting, federal and state ministers expressed their support for the prime minister by pounding on their desks.

The premier thanked Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) and Pakistan Muslim League (Q) (PML-Q).

The prime minister’s speech to the government will be broadcast through official media.

Speaking on X, Prime Minister Shehbaz said that “the budget has been prepared with great effort and sincerity and the welfare of the great nation of Pakistan has been given top priority”.
