Katie Price’s stepfather Paul Price has broken his silence about her relationship struggles, suggesting she has always needed a man in her life.
The former glamor model, 48, is currently married to Lee Andrews, who remains in Al Awir Central Prison, Dubai on fraud charges.
Katie has reportedly refused to pay the £140,000 required to secure his release.
In a new interview promoting her four-part Sky Original series Katie Price: Nothing to hide, The mother-of-five talks candidly about her long-standing problems.

Family members also share their perspective, including how Katie’s biological father left the family home when she was a toddler.
Her stepfather Paul tells the new Sky documentary: “She can never be alone. She always needs a man and that’s when I said to myself, have I done something wrong? Is this the way she’s been brought up?
“I didn’t want to get that close. I didn’t want to feel like I was taking over. I just wanted to be there if she needed me. I wanted her dad to be the father, so I think that’s where she’s suffering.”
Katie agrees, saying: “Paul never ever made me feel like I wasn’t his, never. But when I think about it now, I look for in men what was probably missing from my real father. I’ve always needed a man, always been vulnerable and needy.”
And over the years, there is a habitual form of abuse by men against me, taking advantage of me from a young age for their own benefit, and every time the trauma happened, I think it affected me.”
Katie is hoping for her four-part series Katie Price: Nothing to hidewill mark a new chapter in her life and try to move on from her problems.
She said at the premiere at the Sheffield Documentary Festival: “I’m absolutely the best version of myself that I’ve ever been.”
Despite being currently married, she did not rule out remarrying.
“What will I be like in 20 years? I should definitely look different, my face will be up here. How many more marriages? I don’t know.”
Meanwhile, sources said DailyMail that Katie’s family are deeply concerned about her mental health.
