Philadelphia Eagles on the way to the Super Bowl Lix had Jane Gaudreau, the mother of the late NHL star Johnny Gaudreau, and his brother Matthew, thinking of her two sons on Sunday night.
Hockey may be the Gaudreau family’s top sport, but being from South New Jersey is the Eagles equally prominent.
Jane shared a photo on her social media accounts about her two sons wearing custom Gaudreau Eagles jerseys after winning 55-23 over the Washington commanders sent Philadelphia back to “Big Game.”

“I know two incredibly happy fans in heaven,” Jane wrote on Instagram. “Go Birds !!!!!! Going to the Super Bowl for the Boys !!! One more win.”
Jane also shared the picture on X and added “Miss and Love You Boys!” With two green hearts to the Eagles’ headwear color.
Before the Eagles’ 2024 season began, the tragedy Gaudreau family hit the family and the whole hockey world when Johnny and Matthew were killed by a drunk driver in Oldman’s Township, New Jersey -the day before their sister’s wedding. The Gaudreau brothers ran on bicycles when Sean M. Higgin’s deadly struck them with his vehicle.

Earlier this month, Higgin’s Prosecutor’s Office’s offer of 35 years in prison rejected, causing him not to guilty of his prosecutor who came from the incident.
Higgins, 44, was arrested and indicted for two counts of worsened killings, two counts with vehicle murder, evidence and left the stage with an accident.
Police noticed that Higgins had a blood alcohol level of 0.087 over New Jersey’s legal limit to operate, and he failed a field -accuracy test. Police also said Higgins was driving aggressively, which included faster driving around in more vehicles as he hit Gaudraus.

The Gaudreau family was in the courtroom to witness Higgins’ hearing, and two days later Jane quotes on her instagram seemed to be what her and her family are going through.
“Sometimes life is hard,” read the first quote. “Some days are very rough, and sometimes you just have to cry before you can move on … and that’s okay.”
“When you have a bad day – a really bad day – try to treat the world better than it treated you,” read the second quote that is from Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump.
It has not yet been determined when Higgins is expected next to court, although a lawsuit is upcoming.

While it may not be hockey, the love of the Eagles Gaudreau family celebrating and they know that Johnny and Matthew will look down on New Orleans on February 9 in the hope that their Eagles can again lift Lombardi Trophy.
