Have you bought a Tesla recently? We want to hear from you.

Sales of Tesla electric cars in Europe plunged last year after Elon Musk, the automaker’s chief executive, alienated many people with his political views and support for President Trump.

But the company’s sales have been on the rise lately, and we’re trying to figure out why. I cover the auto industry for The New York Times and would like to hear from people in Europe and elsewhere who have bought a Tesla recently or are considering buying one. If you considered it but chose not to, I’d love to hear from you too.

Did your views on Mr. Musk have any bearing on your decision? Did you decide that a Tesla car was the best car for your needs, even if you are not a fan of him? Has your opinion of him changed recently, and if so, why? Is it easier for you to buy a Tesla now that he is no longer part of the Trump administration?

I will read all responses to this questionnaire and contact you if I am interested in learning more about your story.

We will not publish any part of your response without first following up with you, verifying your information and hearing back from you. And we will not share your contact information outside the Times Newsroom or use it for any reason other than to contact you.
