Prince Harry could easily pull the plug on his plans to bring his family back to the UK after he received a chilling update from the UK on security.
The Duke of Sussex has emphasized on several occasions that he would only bring his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children back to his homeland only when he felt security was up to par.
For over six months he had been waiting for the announcement of taxpayer-funded security after it had been revised. Unfortunately for the Sussexes, The sun and BBC confirmed that the request for police protection was rejected.
Just 24 hours had passed since Harry and Meghan had confirmed they would be traveling back to the UK to attend more engagements and visit the grave of the late Princess Diana.
However, sources have said so The sun that Harry is “reevaluating things” after the security update. “At the end of the day, he’s going to do everything he can to find a way to get them over safely.”
It is understood the king’s offer to live in the royal residence, likely Buckingham Palace, is still on the table. Harry and Meghan had reportedly accepted King Charles.
And while police protection would be available while staying at a royal estate, for other engagements, Harry would be reliant on the private security team traveling with him from California.
The family were due to be in the UK for around five days. It remains to be seen whether the plan for next month will be adjusted or cancelled.
