Machine Gun Kelly is on Lost Americana World Tour is really just a passion project.
The rapper-slash-rock star has revealed that he has not made any money from the tour as he has spent “all the money” on making the tour memorable for fans. MGK made the unveiling on stage at Rogers Arena in Vancouver on Monday, June 29 – the third to final stop on his tour, which started last year.
He began by telling fans what they mean to him. “There’s been a few times in this tour where I’ve totally wanted to get on stage and crash because of things I experience before I’m on stage — all that personal life.”
The father-of-two continued: “But you can complain that the roses have thorns or you can rejoice that the thorns have roses and you are my roses.”
MGK thanked fans for “showing up” and admitted that sometimes he “can’t believe all these people came.”
Then he revealed, “We’re doing this tour for free because we spent all the money on the Statue of Liberty, which took six semi-trucks and 100 extra employees so I could get out of my mouth and stand on a 50-foot hand. I don’t care, because the memories I’m making on this are absolutely priceless, and making you all the happiest is really all I can ask for.”
The Lost Americana Tour have one more stop in Auburn before wrapping up in Ridgefield on July 1st.
