Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s upcoming visit had caused plenty of chaos at Buckingham Palace as the Sussex office had yet to provide a response.
Until last week, Harry was willing to bring Meghan and their two children to the UK, but within 24 hours the decision was called into question when RAVEC refused police protection for the family.
King Charles still kept the offer open for royal accommodation at Buckingham. Royal experts have noted that Harry had created total chaos for a visit that could have gone much more smoothly if he had just communicated directly.
After a full week of deliberation, it seems that Harry confirmed that he would be traveling alone as the security risk is too great for his family to take. However, the palace is awaiting a response from Harry as it is hoped the family can join him during the final leg of the visit.
A royal source quoted by The mirror noted that it is “incredibly frustrating that measures have to be taken to make it easier for any guest of the King to accept an invitation to visit a royal residence.”
The much-anticipated reunion King Charles wanted with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet is in doubt, with royal expert and editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine Ingrid Seward believing Harry is “behaving like an entitled prince”.
She added that he acts like “spoiled celebrity than the king’s second son”.
Meanwhile, Charles is due to attend a number of public engagements next week, but Buckingham Palace has not commented on private family matters.
