The royal family may be in doubt about what Prince Harry’s visit to Britain will bring amid speculation and warnings.
But the Duke of Sussex is probably all too aware that his relationship with his family hangs in the balance.
He knows that one wrong move could inevitably spell the end of any hope that he and Meghan Markle will ever be welcomed back into the royal fold.
According to a new claim, Harry has carefully compiled a list of the people he wants to see, and there’s one royal who we’re told hasn’t made it very far.
Despite previously showing his support for Meghan Markle, describing her as ‘modern and fabulous’, the Sussexes know that any connection with Sarah Ferguson would be a huge ‘risk’ which he is not willing to take at such a delicate time.
The insider said so Closer to“Sarah was one of the few people in the family who publicly supported them over and over again, so it’s understandable that she would want Harry to give back. But it’s just never going to happen.”
They went on to explain: “The fact is Sarah can’t do anything to help Meghan now, so why would she show her support when it would only hurt her brand? She just can’t risk it.”
Likewise, the source says Harry finds allegations that have emerged about Sarah’s friendship with Jeffrey Epstein “reprehensible”.
He has never spoken of her publicly, but referred to his uncle Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor in his 2023 memoir, Spare partswrites: “Despite being embroiled in an embarrassing scandal, accused of sexually abusing a young woman, no one had suggested removing his security.
Now the source added: “He and Meghan have been as gentle as possible about it, but they have let Beatrice and Eugenie know they don’t want to hear from their mother again.”
The insiders went on to claim: “Sarah has been sending messages through Eugenie and Beatrice for quite some time to try to dispel Harry’s resistance because she would love to see him and Meghan again.”
“She swears this isn’t about getting their sympathy, she insists it’s for their benefit. They’ve been treated horribly by the royal family and so has she, and in her opinion they’d do well to form an alliance or at least establish a friendship since they’re in the same boat.”
