Asus Republic of Gamers has announced the ROG Raikiri II Pro, a high-end, elite-performance PC controller and the premium, compact Gjallar Gaming Soundbar.
Asus describes the Raikiri II Pro PC Controller as “the ultimate gaming controller,” giving users “unparalleled precision control to dominate gaming arenas.”
Complete with a competition-grade 8000Hz polling rate and 2.4GHz wireless performance enhanced by ROG SpeedNova technology for responsive high-range control and ultra-low latency, the controller also features microswitch buttons and bumpers for instant actuation and tactile feedback.
It also boasts Dual Mode Triggers that let users seamlessly switch between short-travel, micro-switch and full-travel TMR sensor triggers, “allowing for a tailored feel based on game genre.”
For more personalized control, the Raikiri II Pro offers hot-swappable TMR joystick modules and includes two sets of joystick modules that can be customized for any playing style.
The eye-catching built-in full-color panel on the front of the controller also allows for convenient, on-the-fly adjustments, such as button repositioning, vibration intensity, joystick calibration, lighting effects and brightness.
Users can also switch between five unique profiles and link to the ASUS Gear Link software to enable additional customization options, including detailed button mapping, joystick sensitivity and more.
The premium controller is built for long gaming sessions and delivers up to 79 hours of battery life on a single charge.
Then there’s the Gjallar Gaming Soundbar, a premium gaming soundbar designed for “impactful, cinematic surround sound, clear in-game communication and multi-platform compatibility to streamline any setup.”
The accessory immerses listeners in a realistic 3D soundscape via 2.1.2 Dolby Atmos surround sound with left and right full-range speakers and offers an all-in-one audio control hub that provides easy access to EQ settings, playback controls and input source selection.
An RGB lighting system also offers up to 16.8 million colors and four preset effects for a complete, cohesive gaming setup for more personalization.
Gjallar houses built-in acoustic echo cancellation (AEC) microphones for seamless communication and offers multi-device, multi-platform connectivity via USB-C, HDMI 2.1 (eARC), optical and AUX input and Bluetooth 5.3.
There’s also a built-in USB hub on the side of the soundbar for USB Type-A connections, and users can make easy customization adjustments via the Gear Link app, such as EQ, lighting, microphone settings and more.
Pricing information for both the ROG Raikiri II Pro PC Controller and the Gjallar Gaming Soundbar will be revealed soon.
TechRadar reviewed the ROG Raikiri II Pro’s predecessor, the Asus ROG Raikiri II, earlier this year, with Josh, our review editor, calling it “impressive on all fronts” and claiming he’ll never go back to a regular controller after using it. Time will tell if the Raikiri II Pro PC controller will have the same effect.
