Queen Camilla is taking an unexpected step for the sake of her husband, King Charles, as major changes are expected to take place for the royal family.
Last week, Prince Harry and his family were finally reunited with the King in a private meeting at Highgrove House, and Camilla was also present during it all. According to reports, Harry and Meghan were very happy that their children had finally met their grandparents. Charles was also happy to see Archie and Lilibet.
While the details of the meeting have been kept strictly under wraps, it has also sparked speculation about what’s next for the Sussexes.
Camilla appears to be reluctantly changing her stance as he “wants peace” and “loves” his husband, according to a Palace insider via gossip columnist Rob Shuter.
“She has seen this family rift publicly and if there is a chance to heal it, she will stand behind her husband,” the source said, noting that her forgiveness “doesn’t erase the memory” of everything Harry had said and done.
Another royal source agrees, Camilla believes Harry could turn against the royal family again if things don’t go his way, causing more of a PR mess.
“Her priority is to protect the king from another round of heartbreak. She won’t let Charles go blind twice.”
At the same time, she doesn’t cause any friction with William because she knows he will sit on the throne one day, but she needs peace for now.
