Meghan Markle’s As Ever extension thrown into chaos after disruptive update

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had reportedly taken separate paths when it came to their professional lives and playing to their strengths.

The Duke of Sussex had taken the path of charitable work and public engagements associated with it, while the Duchess of Sussex embraced her roots in showbiz and created her own lifestyle brand. Meghan has kept As Ever as her main focus ever since it launched in 2025 and worked to develop it further.

Despite parting ways with the Netflix partnership, reports claimed Meghan has plans for a major expansion as she “stocks up” to meet the influx of demand. There is already speculation about the financial status of the Sussexes as they suffered a major blow.

Harry, who had sued the DailyMail publication, along with six other claimants, for unlawful information gathering, lost the legal battle and was hit with an eye-watering legal bill. Although Meghan was not involved, she and her company would feel the impact, according to sources.

King Charles’ younger son will have to find enough money to pay the bill, and the “more likely scenario is that he will have to find his own way to come up with cash through a more traditional loan,” an insider told Closer.

They added that this “will throw all his and Meghan’s plans into total chaos”.

“The expansion for her brand will definitely have to be dialed back a lot, if not put on hold entirely,” the source added. “There’s been all this talk that they’re going to buy more property, and that’s going to be difficult, if not impossible.”

Meghan doesn’t even want to consider putting her Montecito mansion at risk as moving out now would be “devastating”. Although Harry assures his wife not to worry, that’s easier said than done.
