Under the Philadelphia Eagles’ Beatdown by the Washington commands of the NFC championship, there was a strange moment on the goal line in the second half as commanders Linebacker Frankie Luvu tried to stop a “tush -push” by jumping over the offensive line.
But he was called for intervention … several times.
“Inside the NFL” caught the moment Luvu jumped over the Eagles’ offensive line without the ball being snapped. And because he did so many times, the judges stepped in.

What was said, though, shocked many people, including commanders Quarterback Jayden Daniels.
“Intervention, Defense, No. 4,” the judge said. “Washington has been notified that the judge may at some point award a score if this type of behavior happens again.”
“Awarding a score? You can give them a touchdown?” Daniels replied to the sidelines.

Although it worked in their advantage, the Eagles’ defenders who saw their offense heard, beating in another score never heard of the rule.
“The next time they do, they give a score?” Darius Slay asked colleague defense back Cooper Dejean.

“The judges can give us a touchdown I guess if they do it again or something,” Dejean replied.
The obscure rule is found in the NFL rulebook usually 12, section 3, Article 4.
“Palpable unreasonable action: A player or replacement may not disturb the game by any act palpable unreasonable. 51 Rule 12 Punishment: For a palpable unreasonable action: offended may be disqualified. The referee after the spacing penalty when they consider fair and Regardless of any other specified code punishment.
The rule is too obvious unreasonable situations, and the judges felt that Luvu is consistently jumping the gun on his leap to stop Jalen hurting, and Turh -push was too much because Eagles did not click the ball.
