Connecticut Sun Player Dijonai Carrington encouraged the FARD Backlash by wearing an anti-trump shirt last weekend and now she is taking this message even longer.
During a press conference before an “unmatched” league match on Thursday, Carrington declared that it is time for WNBA players to “take action” in response to President Donald Trump’s policy.
“We see that some of the policies are already in action, and of course it means that when WNBA and being at the forefront of many of these movements, it’s time for us to intervene as well,” Carrington said.
“It should definitely happen as women where women’s rights are being taken away, just as now, LGBTQ rights are being taken away now. They have not happened yet, but definitely in the works.”
