Harrison Bader’s season has gone from bad to worse.
The San Francisco Giants outfielder has been limited to just 30 games due to injury, and when he has been on the field, it hasn’t been pleasant.
Bader is hitting just .170 with a .198 on-base percentage and .358 slugging percentage as he deals with plantar fasciitis for the second time in his MLB career.

But this week, the Giants announced that Bader had a “scooter accident” on “Saturday night/early Sunday morning” that further injured his foot.
Bader is now set to get an MRI for the new injury.
Oddly enough, this is not the first time Bader has gotten into trouble with a scooter. While playing for the University of Florida in 2014, he was suspended for 19 games for drunkenly driving a scooter into a parked truck.

Bader is in the first year of a two-year pact with the Giants worth north of $20 million. The Giants are his seventh team.
The 2021 Gold Glove Award winner spent nearly six full seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals before being traded to the New York Yankees in 2022. He then had a brief stint with the Cincinnati Reds before spending time with the New York Mets, Minnesota Twins and Philadelphia Phillies.

The Giants, meanwhile, are tied for the second-worst record in the National League and look to trade just about everyone they can before next week’s deadline.
