- 96% of European companies have or will use AI agents
- AI-Agent users are more likely to be optimistic than non-users
- Data silos and poor data integration across systems is a primary obstacle
Artificial intelligence has become so deeply ingrained in our lives now that companies are seeking to take things further by adopting even more AI agents in the coming months and years, research has claimed.
New Mulesoft -Data shows almost all (96%) European companies have implemented or will implement AI agents -defined as partially autonomous AI tools that can perform tasks, make decisions and interact with users -by 2026.
The news comes as companies expect that workload will increase by 18% between 2024 and 2025, with AI agents promising to deliver concrete efficiency benefits.
Ai -Agent’s era is upon us
More than nine out of 10 (93%) IT leaders believe that AI will increase the developer’s productivity, but this number is even higher (98%) among AI agent users, which is a sign that the support agents have delivered so far and ROI -The managers feel they are coming from the technology.
“To unlock this new capacity, integration and APIs, is critical of building an agent-clear foundation. Agents depend on total data and business actions, driven by integration and automation, to provide accurate, trusted answers and perform complex, multi-step tasks, “noted Mulesoft SVP and GM Andrew Comstock.
No matter how competent they can be, AI Agency still comes with its challenges. More than two-thirds (69%) of European companies quotes data integration as an important challenger to AI-Decision, and 94% of the study’s respondents are struggling to integrate data across systems. Furthermore, only one in three (32%) applications is typically connected, making AI agents ineffective in many cases.
Ninety percent of companies agree that data silos create business challenges, but those who try to use AI agents agree more (94%).
It is so clear that a solid data fundament is required that is AI-agent-clear before companies even have to consider developing their AI strategies.
