The British government has introduced a new ‘world-leading AI-cyber security standard’, hoping to help protect its still important digital economy.
The new ‘Practice Code’ aims to provide public services and businesses the “trust they need to exploit AIS transformative potential safely”. It is a voluntary structure and includes principles such as ensuring your supply chain, monitoring the behavior of the system and evaluating and managing threats and risks to AI systems.
This promises to form the basis of a ‘new global standard’ for Safe AI and represents a big step to ‘cementing Britain’s position as a world leader in safe innovation’ and joining the British government’s recent master plan to ‘loosen AI’ with a 50 -point plan to push AI into all corners of the British industry.

Cyberattacks hit British companies more than ever before, and almost half of all organizations experienced an attack or breaking in the last 12 months. By adopting these principles, companies can strengthen their cyber defense and get guidance on best practices.
Britain’s AI sector attracts ‘millions per hour’, the government claims, and the government has estimated that support of cycles can increase the cyber security industry of $ 11.9 billion.
“It is important that we take advantage of AI’s transformative potential so that our society can reap the benefits of new technologies without introducing avoidable vulnerabilities and cyber rates,” said NCSC Chief Technology Officer Ollie Whitehouse.
“The United Kingdom is a leader by establishing this security standard by fortifying our digital technologies, taking advantage of global society and strengthening our position as the safest place to live and working online.”
