Pakistan and China agree to improve intelligence and security cooperation after a high -level meeting between Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and his Chinese counterpart, Qiu Yanjun, in Beijing.
During the meeting, discussions focused on ensuring limits of paramilitary forces and improving cooperation in this regard. Both sides also considered the use of advanced technology for police and paramilitary forces.
The two officials had detailed discussions about the acquisition of modern equipment and technology from China to strengthen Pakistan’s law enforcement authorities.
Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that Pakistan would acquire advanced technology and equipment to improve police capacity.
In addition, both countries agreed to strengthen cooperation between the National Police Academy and improve cooperation between Beijing and Islamabad police forces.
The leaders expressed satisfaction with the progress made at the January meeting in the joint working group.
The high -level discussion between the two ministers lasted for two hours.
On this occasion, Mohsin Naqvi expanded an official invitation to his Chinese counterpart to Visitpakistan.
