Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) President Bilawal Bhutto-Zze-Ze emphasized the need to strengthen the public ties between Pakistan and the United States and claimed that religion is a unifying rather than a divisive strength.

In a speech with the media after participating in the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, the bilawal event described the event as an excellent opportunity for Interfaith Harmony.

He noticed the presence of US President Donald Trump, who gave a speech and emphasized that people from around the world were gathered at the event.

Bilawal himself approached the closing ceremony, where he emphasized the power of faith to bring people together.

By reflecting on his own faith at the ceremony, Bilawal said, “Everyone has their own faith, and for me, and for many people, faith has to do with loss. The more you lose, the stronger your faith.”

He talked about the tragedies that his family lasted, including the murder of his grandfather, former Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, and the death of his uncles, Shahnawaz and Mir Murtaza Bhutto.

He also remembered the tragic attack on his mother, former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, in 2007, just weeks before she was scheduled to tackle the National Prayer Breakfast in 2008.

Bilawal further highlighted the role of religion in promoting unity rather than division and said, “One thing I will say to you here today as a man of faith, as a politician, is that religion is often used to divide us.

“But the great thing about faith, about God, about the Almighty, about religion, is that it is not a strength that shares us – it is a strength that unites us, and never let anyone tell you otherwise.”

He also spoke of Jesus’ universal message and how his teachings are integrated into both Christianity and Islam.

“Jesus not just belongs to the Christians. I learned about Jesus from my mother who taught me about Jesus as He is in the Holy Qur’an and in Muslim teachings. Every Muslim, whatever you are told, believe in Jesus, “He said.

During his visit, Bilawal also held meetings with members of Congress. When he is no longer Foreign Minister, all these meetings were conducted in a personal trait, he said.

The National Prayer Breakfast, hosted by newly elected US President Donald Trump, was attended by senior personalities from around the world, including Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, invited to the event. The collection, which was held in Washington at 1 p.m. 07:00, continued for almost seven hours until 7 p.m. 14.00.

Bilawal arrived in the US Monday to attend the event. Several national prayer and faith ceremonies take place in the United States this week with the participation of President Trump and Vice President JD Vance. However, this marked the first time Bilawal attended a ceremony hosted by Trump.

Bilawal expressed his gratitude for the opportunity and said, “I am grateful for the breakfast of the national prayer, or rather the international prayer breakfast, to give us the chance to unite about our shared faith in Jesus.”
