Despite being a big fan of the movie Best in show – There parodies the prestigious and pretentious dog exhibition world – it took me ages before I realized what today’s theme was about.
Being a British, Westminster automatically triggers thoughts about Parliament’s houses, Big Ben and all the tourist Malarchy, rather than Westminster Kennel Club and its many dog categories.
Despite my ignorance, this was still a truly comfortable puzzle, with dozens of hinting words lurking in the grid to throw us off scent. Top marks, threads.

What is new threads?
Strands is Nyt’s new word game after Wordle and Connections. It is now out of beta, so it is a fully developed member of Nyt’s Games Stable and can be played on the new Games site on desktop or mobile.
