Financing Muhammad Aurangzeb minister expressed the desire to work for a more robust relationship between Pakistan and the United Kingdom in his conversations with senior British officials in Lisbon, Portugal on Sunday.

According to Radio Pakistan, Aurangzeb conversations with Hamish Falconer, British Parliamentary Secretary of State of the Middle East, Pakistan and Afghanistan, held on “questions of mutual interest”.

“Investment opportunities in Pakistan in energy, minerals and infrastructure sectors” also came under discussion at the meeting.

Both sides paid tribute to the role of the Pakistani Diaspora in promoting the bilateral relationship.

Aurangzeb, who visited the Portuguese capital to participate in the funeral of the late Prince Karim Aga Khan IV, emphasized Pakistan, and Britain enjoyed close and heartfelt relations marked by mutual trust and commitment.

On Saturday, Aurangzeb attended the funeral of the late prince Karim al-Hussaini Aga Khan IV and met with Prince Rahim al-Hussaini Aga Khan V to convey compassion on behalf of the government and people in Pakistan.
