NFL fans intervene after restaurant owned by Eagles’ CJ Gardner-Johnsson’s mother affected by unwarranted bad reviews

Del Johnson saw from Florida when confetti fell on her son, CJ Gardner-Johnson, and his teammates, after Philadelphia Eagles directed Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl Lix.

Eagles Safety’s mother was in Cocoa Village, Florida, not New Orleans for the big game. She was there because she also had something to celebrate – the opening of her second restaurant. However, the festive state was short-lived due to an influx of negative Yelp reviews for Johnson’s other establishment, Kings Grill in Rockletge, Florida.

The tip of bad reviews began shortly after Gardner-Johnson aimed at Chiefs Star Travis Kelce.

“Should have been with the Tykke S —,” Gardner-Johnson wrote an Instagram Stories post. The caption seemed to refer to Kelce’s previous romance with Kayla Nicole, who participated in the last Sunday’s big match and celebrated the Eagles victory at Caesar’s Superdome Turf.

Fans of singer Taylor Swift, often referred to as “Swifties,” seemed to be responsible for at least the initial stream of bad Google reviews and negative Yelp reviews for Kings Grill. Swift has appeared several performances on Chiefs games in the past two seasons and is currently dating with Kelce.

“I have friends who sent me screens,” Delatron Johnson told TMZ Sports. “They went, ‘Oh my God, look at this!’ And the first thing everyone said was, ‘The Swifties have attacked.’

“Yes, we’ve seen all reviews. The joke is really on Swifties and everyone who entertains the reviews because Kings Grill is closed.”

The unfavorable reviews were later removed and Yelp placed an “unusual activity alarm” on the restaurant’s side, as “temporarily disabled content of content.”

“This business recently received increased public attention, which often means that people come to this page to send their views on news. While we are not taking a stand one way or the other when it comes to this incident we have Temporarily disabled submission of content to this page as we work to check if the content you see here reflects actual consumer experiences rather than the recent events, ”the post read.

A Yelp spokesman added that “moderators” would eventually “clean up the side so it reflects first -hand consumer experiences.”

“In order for Yelp to remain a useful resource for society, reviews must be based on a real, first -hand experience with the company,” the spokesman said in a statement. “Due to the increased activity we discovered on the company page, Yelp’s user operation team worked quickly for temporary, our moderators will clean up the page so that it reflects first -hand consumer experiences.”

Some Eagles fans noted the flood of negative reviews Johnson’s restaurant received and showed their support by leaving a significant number of positive reviews for the establishment.

Supporters of other NFL teams also came to Johnson’s help.

“Saint’s fan here, thank you for getting cj a ring. Kinda sad that people are trying to attack this place because the bosses are upset with birds I assume,” a New Orleans Saints fan wrote. Gardner-Johnson spent the first three years of his NFL career with the saints.

A Las Vegas Raiders fan suggested that the restaurant had first-class service. “Service was on point Thanks! Mad was on point Thanks! Atmosphere was on point Thanks! #Raaaiiiidersssss,” Raiders Fan wrote
