- YouTube TV and Paramount have a distribution disagreement
- Paramount -content is set to leave YouTube TV from 13 February 2025
- There is no word when it returns but YouTube has promised compensation
YouTube TV subscribers are watching their channel selection take a hit as Paramount and CBS content leave the service -but hopefully it won’t be gone forever.
According to a message sent to subscribers, YouTube has not been able to reach a content distribution agreement with Paramount, which means that from February 13, 2025 you will probably not be able to access different channels. This does not just affect streaming new content; Recordings you have saved on your DVR of everything from a paramount channel are also removed.
Until the problem is resolved, Entertainment Plus subscribers automatically get $ 10 discount on each received bill, while Paramount’s content remains inaccessible, and Google says they with you with paramount+ with showtime or bet+ additions through YouTube TV are not invoiced to your subscription, Before the problem is resolved – and you get an automatic refund on your last fee amount.
YouTube adds that if it cannot reach an appointment and the content of the agreed is “inaccessible for a longer period” (though there are no details of what it means) YouTube will offer subscribers a credit of $ 8 they can require on tv.youtube.com.

There is no word about when a new deal between Paramount and YouTube TV will be reached, but a similar disagreement between YouTube and Disney happened back in December 2021.
Their deal expired on December 17, 2021, causing Disney services (including ESPN and ABC) to darken, but they were restored on December 20.
We keep our fingers crossed that this most important disturbance will be over as fast, even if YouTube gives no sign of when or even if a new deal will be reached, only says: “We are still in active conversations with paramount and we Hope to get an appointment with them as soon as possible. “
