Nike reveals Caitlin Clark Billboard in City, where Angel Reese’s team is based and encourages mockery from fans

The Caitlin Clark Marketing Machine has been expanded to enemy territory.

Nike revealed his latest Clark Billboard in Chicago this week at 157 W. Chicago Ave. Billboard is 3½ miles away from the WinTrust Arena, home to Chicago Sky and Clark’s rival, Angel Reese.

The location of Billboard, which recorded real estate in Reese’s city, triggered reaction from fans on social media because of the disputed story between the players.

Many of Clark’s fans have used the new billboard as an opportunity to mock Reese.

Clark and Reese have been linked to each other since they first met in 2023 NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship. Reese spotted Clark at the end of that game when her LSU -tiger defeated Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes about the title and pointed to her finger in a joking way to remind her who got a ring.

This triggered outrage from Clark’s fanbase, including Bartstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, who called Reese “A piece S —” in a wide circulated X-post after Reese’s gesture in the championship.

XX-XY ATHLETICS seems to redefine mainstream in 2025, so the women’s sports stars and hit viral ads

They carried their rivalry into the pros this year. Their four matchups included a series of controversial flagrant mistakes against Clark of Reese and other Sky players. Reese smuggled Clark in the head with her arm as she tried to block a shot in their first WNBA meeting June 1st.

One of Reese’s teammates, Diamond Deshields, released screens of hateful comments she got after beating Clark on the floor in their last meeting of the season 30 August.

Clark and Reese have never acknowledged that there is a feud between them. They have only made respectful comments about each other to the media. But the fans are another story. The two groups have been notorious for attacking each other and the two players on social media since the 2023 NCAA Championship game.

Reese has said that Clark’s fans have sent her death threats and made explicit AI pictures of her and sent them to her family.

“I think it’s really just fans, her fans, Iowa fans, now Indiana fans who really are just, they run for her and I respect it, respectfully. But sometimes it’s very disrespect. I Think there’s a lot of racism when it comes to it, “Reese said in the first episode of his podcast 5th September.

Now Clark has noted an off-the-Court victory in the rivalry with his new billboard.

In April 2024, Caitlin Clark signed an eight-year-old, $ 28 million approval agreement with Nike. The deal includes a signature shoe and is the most lucrative shoe deal in women’s basketball history.

The new Billboard is a continuation of Nike’s advertising campaign it launched with its first Super Bowl ad on 27 years on Sunday.

One minute “So Win” space is an all -kingdom advertising that celebrates nine high -profile female athletes, including Clark, Jordan Chiles, Sha’Carri Richardson, Juju Watkins and A’Ja Wilson.

However, the campaign has also criticized. Critics were quick to call Nike his business’s attitude, supporting transient athletes competing in women’s sports.
