Achakzai advertises to end NA selection

Islamabad:

PKMAP chief Mahmood Achakzai announced his resignation from the entire National Assembly’s committee on Friday, which included the Treasury members, and advised the big opposition party, PTI to do the same.

When he spoke with the media persons in the House of Parliament, Achakzai said he would no longer sit with the government members of these committees. “I resign all the committees that include government members,” he said. “I also ask PTI to leave these government committees.”

Achakzai suggested that PTI should hold a separate parliamentary session outside the house and raise public questions there. “The speaker will be Asad Qaiser. The members of the opposition are more than 100, they have to tell the public that this is their real representative party.”

Achakzai repeated his previous statement that this was a “false parliament when PTI’s mandate was stolen” at the parliamentary elections last year. In response to a question, he said there was no previous example of an International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation visiting the courts.

When he spoke to the apartment, PTI chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said the performance of the National Assembly was disappointing, despite the opposition’s efforts to continue the procedure. He condemned the denial of the floor to PTI in Parliament’s lower house.

“We tried to find a political solution to political issues in the Production Committee and the Negotiating Committee. Today in the National Assembly we did not get an order point that we condemn,” the PTI chairman told journalists.

SaHibzada Hamid Raza, the leader of Sunni Itthad Council (SIC) also said that the opposition came to the assembly fully prepared to discuss all questions, but they did not get the opportunity. He challenged the government, said that if they wanted a clash with the opposition, it would get one.
