Massachusetts Rep is blasting Republicans to ‘Weapons from’ Translender Athletes: ‘Politics on the worst’

US Rep. Lori Trahan, D-Mass., Ripped his Republican colleagues this week and said they politicize the controversial question of transnry athletes competing against girls and women.

Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association is one of at least three state athletic organizations to say that they will continue to allow trans -athletes to compete against biological women despite President Donald Trump’s recent executive order that prevents them from doing so .

This has led to Trump’s Institute for Educational Launch of Title IX -probe against Massachusetts, Minnesota and California’s athletic federation.

“We will say no to these transchildren? You can’t be part of a team, you can’t teach the camera and be part of your community and feel a feeling of belonging? It’s just cruel,” Trahan said via Boston Globe.

Trahan, who said she hasn’t heard much about a scream from parents in her state, added that she thinks the question should be up to each sports organ, not politicians.

“They are experts. They are dedicated to their sports and create fair and responsible rules for participation. Many of them have already implemented changes to ensure justice and security,” she said.

“I think this is where the decisions need to be made, but it does not prevent my Republican colleagues from weapons from this issue, and it has a major consequence as a result.”

Despite President Charlie Baker, who said in December, he knew that in December he knew in December for fewer than 10 transient athletes in the association, recently followed Trump’s order and prevented transking athletes from competing against women.

“You can’t ignore [NCAA’s] Data, “Trahan said,” but it doesn’t stop them. They think it’s a political winner for them. Whether they believe it or not, it doesn’t even mean anything. They have set such a dangerous tale in our country about refusing the transport of transgender people.

“There’s a lot of creeps out there, so now someone is accused of a girl who doesn’t look feminine enough or don’t have pigtails in her hair?” Trahan added. “How is she going to prove [her gender]? It’s bad decision making. It’s politics at the worst. “

The debate reached a new level almost three years ago when Lia Thomas, a transgender person in Penn, won a division in the title. Trump issued his executive order as part of his advertised plan to “ban” trans athletes from competing against girls and women while being campaigned.
