Jamiat Urvila-e-Islam-Fazl (Jui-F) spokesman has strongly criticized the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government for a letter about a security threat against the party’s chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

According to Jui-F spokesman Aslam Ghauri, the KP government’s letter about the security threat against Maulana Fazlur Rehman is alarming.

He urged the government to fulfill its responsibilities instead of spreading fear and panic. He also claimed that the KP government after the successful peace Jirga in Peshawar has become anxious.

“The government must clarify what measures have been taken to ensure the security of the Jui-F chief. If it cannot fulfill its responsibilities, it must admit it is failure. Jui-F workers know how to protect their management , “said Aslam Ghauri.

The spokesman further stated that any attempt to distance the party and its leadership of the people would be opposed. He accused the government of incorporating fears among the public by making such declarations after political gatherings.

He emphasized that the government is responsible for ensuring the security of Maulana Fazlur Rehman and all other citizens. “Our call for peace and stability should not be confused with weakness,” he said, demanding that the government guarantee the security of the JUI-F leadership.

Previously, Maulana Fazlur Rehman was issued a warning of security threat from police with reference to potential risks to his life.

According to the letter, Fazlur Rehman has been warned of security concerns in KP, where terrorists can target him because of his religious and political activities.

Sources show that DI Khan police have advised Fazlur Rehman and his party to limit their movements and secure strict security measures.

Police have called on Fazlur Rehman to take precautionary measures and immediately inform relevant authorities about any unusual activity.
