Kendrick Lamar has achieved a historic milestone on the Billboard 200 diagram, setting a new standard for rap artists.
After his Super Bowl -Half -Time Show performance, three of Lamar’s albums have risen into the top 10 on the advertising boards.
This marks the first time in the nearly 69-year history of the diagram that a rapartist has also had three spots at the top level.
Lamar’s latest album, GNXhas regained the No. 1 position, increased from No. 4. His album in 2017 Damn. have sprung from No. 29 to No. 9 while his 2012 release Good child, Maad City has moved from No. 27 to No. 10.
This performance places Lamar among a selected group of artists who have managed to map multiple albums in the top 10 at a time.
The last artist to achieve this was Taylor Swift on December 9, 2023, Chart, where she had five albums in the top 10.
The last male artist to achieve this achievement was Prince in 2016 after his passing.
SZA also saw a significant card increase with his album SOS Climbing from No. 3 to No. 2 on Billboard 200 after appearing with Lamar in the Super Bowl 2025.
It is relevant to mention, the resurgence of GNX Also partially attributed to its recent physical release on February 7, which contributed to Lamar’s strongest sales week since 2017.
