Govt is targeted at $ 60B exports of five years

Islamabad:

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb on Tuesday said the government has set a goal of doubling exports of $ 30 billion to $ 60 billion over the next three to five years.

In an interview with Bloomberg, the Finance Minister highlighted financial progress over the past 12 to 14 months and said the government has taken crucial steps to limit inflation and reduce interest rates.

He said currency reserves have been stabilized, adding that privatization efforts will be accelerated to increase the efficiency of state -owned companies (SOEs).
