The new Apple TV+ crime drama has just been revealed, and despite the fact that it seems to rock first class production values and excellent film in its debut trailer, it’s not the headline news.

Dope Thief Also has other serious heavyweight talent behind the camera. Apple’s latest big budget drama has been created and written by the Academy Award -nominated, Peter Craig. The man who is probably best known for writing Ben Affleck’s masterful Heist -kapes in 2010 The city. Oh, and you haven’t seen The cityplease do. It is a brutal Boston beauty of increasingly risky robberies located in the Charlestown area of Beantown.
The Great A Hope no doubt Dope Thief Will go down as one of the best Apple TV Plus shows. With the trailer apparently blurred the lines between police and criminals it is easy to see comparisons with The cord.
Not that I knock on David Simon’s masterful Baltimore drama that has been surpassed by Dope Thief. After all, The cord is arguably the best TV show of all time. It is not only satisfied to focus on the police that blow up drug corners, during its five seasons, it deals with everything from the death of the ports, destroyed school systems, corrupt mayor runs and a particular modern Robin Hood with a large Ol’s shotgun, there Just love to steal from dealers. Omar Little, you’re the best.
