Security forces launched a comprehensive investigation to track and understand the gunmen who complied with a bus traveling on Barkhan-Dera Ghazi Khan Highway in Balochistan on Tuesday night and shot seven people.
According to local authorities, the striker, who was estimated to be a group of about 40 armed men, stopped several vehicles near Rakhani in Barkhan district. After verifying passengers’ identity card, they removed seven individuals from one of the coaches and shot them dead, they added.
Barkhan Deputy Commissioner Waqar Khurshid Alam confirmed that all victims came from Punjab and were on their way to Lahore when the attack took place. After the incident, authorities tightened the security of the affected area to prevent any repetition of such violent acts.
Meanwhile, security forces launched a comprehensive investigation to track and understand the perpetrators as Balochistani Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti ordered a full -scale investigation into the incident. He condemned the attack on the strongest conditions and felt it a “Feig Terrorist”.
