Detroit Lions -star recipient Jameson Williams does not face any league discipline after an event in October 2024, when he was pulled over with an unlicensed gun, per. Detroit Free Press.
Williams faced arrest on a gun tax after being withdrawn on October 8, 2024, when he and his brother had two small arms in the vehicle at that time.
The guns were recorded correctly, but Williams did not have a hidden carrier on him, which could have led to a charges of wearing a hidden weapon in a motor vehicle.

However, Williams’ brother has a hidden pistol license.
Williams had been in handcuffs on stage, but he was not led to imprisonment or charged in the incident.
It was also reported that the police sergeant on stage recognized Williams after being a Lions fan.

The sergeant had made calls to higher ranked officials in the arrest, and after a lieutenant told the sergeant that the brothers could let go, the sergeant said the lieutenant that he is one “[expletive] Hero “and thanked him. That’s when Williams was removed from handcuffs and relax without further trouble.
According to Bodycam recordings, the sergeant’s telephone background was a Lions logo.

While the NFL does not discipline Williams in the case, Lion’s head coach Dan Campbell spoke about Williams, who were suspended two weeks after the incident for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy before the team faced the Washington commanders in the divisional round of the playoffs.
“I love that child because he had to endure a lot,” said Campbell, pr. Detroit Free Press. “And see some of it is his own do and he knows and that’s what I value is that he is – it took him a minute to buy into what we did. He can be a little hardy , and that’s also why you love him, that’s why I love him.
“He learns from it and I love where he is. I really do. I’m proud of him.”

Williams had his breakout season in 2024 and voted 1,001 meters with seven touchdowns of 58 receptions. He also rushed into 61 yards and a score to help the lions serve the No. 1 seed in the NFC.
