The Bill, HF12, also known as “Conservative Girls’ Sports Act,” says only female students who can participate in an athletic team or sporting or sport that an educational institution has limited to women and girls. “

After reviewing the Education Policy Committee, the Bill will now go to Minnesota’s Representan House for a floor vote.

“Minnesota State High School League and California Interscholastic Federation are free to engage in all the meaningless virtue signals they want, but at the end of the day they must comply with federal legislation,” said Craig Trainor, acting assisting secretary of civil rights.

In California, state lawmakers have already introduced two bills to protect girls sports with similar purposes such as the one weighed in Minnesota.
Meanwhile, Minnesota’s Blue State Neighbor Wisconsin has complied with Trump’s order.
