Delta Flight 4819: Angel Reese suggests the Passenger -Payment is inadequate

Passengers aboard Delta Air Line’s Flight 4819 endured an upset landing experience in Toronto. The 76 passengers were left hanging on their heads in their seats after the plane turned around by landing.

Four crew members were also on board the aircraft at the time of the crash. All 80 people survived where 21 passengers were treated in a hospital. Each passenger transported to the hospital has since been released, the airline confirmed.

The Atlanta-based airline responded to the event by offering each affected passenger a $ 30,000 payout. But the five-digit sum fell briefly in the eyes of WNBA star Angel Reese.

“Wait that’s it? Yes No,” Reese wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, Thursday.

Rees’s comments triggered a rage of reactions across social media, some of which called on the airline to do more for passengers.

If each passenger decided to take the offer, Delta would be responsible for a total payment of $ 2.3 million. The airline noted that the offer came with “No strings attached.”

“Representatives of Delta Care Team tell customers that this gesture has not attached stricts and does not affect their rights,” a spokesman for the airline said. How passengers would actually receive the compensation remain unclear.
