A rare sambar deer has been saved by the wildlife authorities after crossing into Pakistan from India.
The deer was found in the Jandiala border area and was safely brought into custody following a rescue operation, Express News reported.
Local residents warned the authorities after seeing Deer, which was later transferred to Wildlife Park in Jallo for Care and Rehabilitation. According to wildlife officials, the deer is healthy and young, and it will be closely monitored as part of its recovery process.
Authorities speculated that sambar deer typically found in India may have wandered across the border due to disorientation or natural migration.
Officials from the Wildlife Department expressed their relief that the deer was found unkind and is now under professional care in the sanctuary.
