Fatal Fury: Wolves City, One of 2025’s most expected battle games has a free-to-access open beta that is happening right now.
While the open beta is largely limited to a handful of grades and online modes, it gives both combat gaming fans and casuals a chance to try the game for free before April 24, 2025 release. And you also have the whole weekend to check it out as the open beta will be live until February 24th.
The Fatal Fury: Wolves City Open Beta allows you to play ranked, relaxed and lobby matches online. But it also has a tutorial to get you up to speed on mechanics like Rev Gauge, Just Defense and Special Move Cancel. However, there is no training mode or combination attempts in the open beta, so you will not be able to label your favorite character yet.
There are eight available to try in the open beta. It is:

- Terry Bogard
- Hotaru Futaba
- Preecha
- Vox Reaper
- B. Jenet
- Mai Shiranui
- Cain R. Heinlein
It is also worth noting that all the progress you make in the open beta in terms of online ranking is not transferred to the full game. As a result, you can afford to jump between characters to find a favorite without having to worry about your victory / loss statistics.
The open beta can be downloaded for free on all platforms, the game is set to release on, they are PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC via Steam. CrossPlay also seems to be enabled for the beta so you will be able to squeeze against opponents regardless of system.
Fatal Fury: Wolves City is currently one of our most expected games of 2025. In particular, its first season pass of DLC signs will be available at no extra cost. The characters of the season have been confirmed to be Andy Bogard, Joe Higashi and Mr. Big as well as Ken and Chun-Li from Street Fighter series that donates their Street Fighter 6 dress.
