They said every year that NAACP assigns a person with NAACP-Archewell Digital Civil Rights Award. This award celebrates leaders who promote civil rights in digital space and lead the way to build a better online world.
The Archewell Foundation is excited about congratulating this year’s recipient, Dr. Alondra Nelson, a sociologist and leading expert in artificial intelligence (AI).
In recognition of his work, Dr. Alondra Nelson receive a grant of $ 100,000 to promote his work.
She joins former recipients of NAACP-Archewell Digital Civil Rights Awards: Dr. Safiya Noble (2022), Nabiha Syed (2023) and Dr. Joy Buolamwini (2024).
