Banker Zafar Masud, one of the two survivors of the Pia Plan crash in 2020 in Karachi, shared memories of the fateful day culminating with his memoir, Seat 1C: A survivor’s tale of hope, resilience to renewal.
The book, written in collaboration with Syeda Amna Hasan, was launched on Saturday at the Literary Festival.
When asked what inspired him to write the book, Masud replied: “In fact, I thought this is so unique experience that God forbids that no one should ever confront or meet them. I would share my lists after Krash-to tell people how it feels when you get so close to death, how your life changes and what your life priorities should be. “
Masud was asked about the path to a sorry -free life, especially for those who are willing to dedicate themselves to their faith. He explained that there is no answer in size as each person’s priorities vary depending on personal preferences.
Instead, he emphasized the importance of choosing priorities that create a positive impact and benefit society, ensuring that personal ambitions are not pursued at the expense of someone else’s happiness, prosperity or welfare.
Completed the session urged Masud: “If you didn’t attend our session or were unable to see it, you definitely have to buy the book – it has a lot to teach and offer.”
