The National Conference of Opposition’s Grand Alliance faced an obstacle when Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, the call of the opposition’s connection committee and former prime minister, was prevented from entering a private hotel in Islamabad, where the conference was to be held.
The Grand Alliance accused the authorities of trying to stop the conference and promised to hold the event at all costs. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi reached the room, only to find a heavy presence of FC (Frontier Constabulary) and police forces stationed outside the hotel.
After his arrival, Abbasi was denied entry.

He also expressed dissatisfaction with the current country in the country and said, “The country is not progressing.”
Omar Ayub further criticized the government and described it as a “installment 47” government that lacked a mandate from the people. He also criticized the government’s attempts to advertise in newspapers and said that such actions would not lead to progress.
In his speech, Omar Ayub called for a public rally in Balochistan despite resistance from the provincial government. He also mentioned that the question of missing persons was one they had raised before Pakistan’s Supreme Court. In addition, he demanded that the federal government fulfill its obligations to the people of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
He concluded by emphasizing the importance of maintaining the constitution and the rule of law and saying, “We are here to strengthen the state and defend the constitution, especially Article 7, which clearly defines the state.”
Earlier yesterday, the opposition’s Grand Alliance accused the government of trying to block their planned conference and insisted that the event will take place as planned tomorrow despite the obstacles.
Alliance leaders, including Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Omar Ayub and others, held a press conference after a crucial meeting to discuss the situation.
Abbasi revealed that the alliance had tried to secure a place for the conference in the last week. He initially said the first venue was canceled, followed by another, with the explanation that the national cricket team needed to pass.
